- Cjarsons Festival in Sutrio, the first Sunday of June;
- the Malgaro Festival in Ovaro, in July;
- the Formaggio e Ricotta di Malga Festival a Enemonzo, in Autumn, on September;
- the Wood’s Festival in Sutrio, the first Sunday of September;
- the Sapori di Carnia in Raveo, the second Sunday of December;
- • Borghi e Presepi in Sutrio, in Christmas time.
Food
Carnia’s traditional cuisine grows up around polenta and soups, perfect for wintertime and cold weather.
Frico, a mix of potatoes and cheese, is served with polenta. The Cjarsons, it’s a special kind of pasta that is served in every Carnia’s restaurant. Toc in Braide it’s a mix di polenta, cheese, smoked ricotta and liquid butter.
